According to Vastu for home, the entrance is placed after doing a proper gridding according to different directions, deities, and 81 padas in which 32 main entrances are present in the home. Among these 32 entrances, each direction has only a few auspicious entrances and others are considered inauspicious. Generally, the entrance of a north, east, and northeast are considered the best. The main entrance should be larger than all other doors in the house and the main door should not be painted black. Also, the doors must not open outwards.

As we spend most of our time in the bedroom it is also an important part to look at when we do Vastu for home. Different people in a family live in different bedrooms. So the master bedroom or the largest bedroom of the house should be provided to the head of the family and it should be located in the southwest of the house. Bedrooms for adult members can be built in the South or west direction. Bedrooms of students and young children should be in the direction between the southwest and west direction. Bedroom for girls of marriageable age is best located in the northwest. The bedroom for a newly married couple should be in the direction between northwest and north.

The best directions for building a drawing or living room are north, east, or northeast and the diagonal energy lines of the plot should be avoided. The windows should be present in the north and east direction of the room and the room should have light colors and good ventilation.

According to Vastu for home, the best direction for a bathroom in the home is from west to northwest and east of the house. As the South direction is the direction of fire in Vastu, the bathroom in that direction or adjacent to the kitchen (as the kitchen is also a place having a lot of fire elements) should be strictly avoided.

The placement of toilets plays a very important role in Vastu for home. If the toilet is wrongly placed, it can have a very adverse impact on the people of the house. So, there are three best directions for placing a toilet in the home which are West of Northwest (direction on the left of Northwest), south of southwest (direction on the left of the southwest), and East of southeast (direction on the left of the southeast). The toilet in the northeast direction should strictly be avoided in Vastu of home.

Kitchen Location According to Vastu Home Planning: 

Placement of the kitchen again plays a very important role in Vastu for home. A kitchen is a very firey place and should be placed in the south direction of the house and the best placement will be in the southeast direction. These directions receive plenty of Sunlight that helps in killing the bacteria present in the kitchen. 

Staircase Location According to Vastu Home Planning: 

The staircase plays an important role while planning according to Vastu for home. The good placement of a staircase can take the person up to success but if the staircase is not rightly placed, it can take a person down with problems. The ideal place for constructing a staircase according to Vastu is Southwest, West, and South of the Southwest corner of the house. Colors According to Vastu Home Planning:

Different directions in Vastu Shastra are associated with five different elements. This determines which colors are favorable and anti for which directions. For the North direction shades of blue, green, and white can be chosen. For the east direction, you can choose shades of green color. For the south direction, you can choose shades of red, brown color, or pink color. For the West direction, you can choose shades of white, grey color, and golden yellow color.
